The course emphasizes Business English that designed to enhance students’ business listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Students are expected to improve their English communication skills to prepare for their future job. | ||||||||||||

課程內容與進度 Course Description and Progress Outline | ||||||||||||
This course is designed to help students to develop skills of listening and speaking skills in the simulating business scenarios and to write good business correspondence, especially focused on the methodology of writing different types of business letters. The goal of this course is to give the student an overall introduction to the business language, situations and skills needed to work in an international business environment. The skills include business etiquettes, efficient meetings, effective negotiations, confident presentations, basic telephone skills and business correspondence. Also, students are expected to draw from their own knowledge and experience to contribute to classroom activities, which are task-based and reports built around cases study. Students, 4-5 ones in a group, will hand in a portfolio of all their written work at the end of the semester for final review and grading.
